Gimmersta designs, manufactures, and sells wallpapers under the brands Rebel Walls, Sandberg Wallpaper, Happywall, Bien Fait, and Hovia. The company has a vertically integrated and scalable business model, built on premium brands and digitized production and sales. The products are sold online in over 80 countries, as well as through a global network of retailers, interior designers and architects.

Gimmersta was founded in 2012 by Irene and Christofer Gimmersta and has approximately 80 employees. The headquarters are located in Borås, with operations in Liverpool as well. The company operates its own design studios and production facilities at both locations.
