CSAM is entering the acute medicine and emergency area and has acquired AMIS AS.
CSAM broadens its product range and will now also focus on the acute medicine and emergency area. As a first step, CSAM has acquired the Norwegian independent software company AMIS AS.
CSAM is already the Scandinavian market leader within software for Maternity and Cancer treatment. Through the acquisition of AMIS, CSAM establishes a new business vertical, further strengthening CSAM as the eHealth specialist in Norway and Sweden.
– Robustness, security and stability are important elements of the future information systems within the acute medicine and control room area. The market needs strong dedicated software houses that provides process support for health professionals in different specialist areas, says CSAM CEO Sverre Flatby.
– Customers in the eHealth market are joining forces and consolidating both regionally and nationally, and their tender behavior indicates that the number of independent software vendors in the market will be reduced. The acquisition of AMIS is yet another step towards creating a strong and viable Nordic eHealth specialist. Acute medicine has suffered from lack of financing, but we now see increased investment from customers going forward. Through the acquisition of AMIS, CSAM adapts to signals from the customers in the Nordic market, says Sverre Flatby.
Cooperation agreements with SAAB
– In connection with the acquisition of AMIS AS, CSAM has entered into a partnership with the well-reputed Swedish company SAAB. The combination of SAABs control room platform and CSAMs integration and eHealth knowledge, creates a strong Nordic constellation, which will help to solve urgent business challenges now and in the future.
Richard Price, Vice President & Head of Critical System and Communication Solutions in SAAB, is satisfied with the agreement with CSAM.
– Fire departments, police and airports in different countries are using SAABs control room technology. Our experience from the healthcare market is that there is a growing need for stronger dedicated specialized healthcare software houses to support local customers. CSAMs acquisition of AMIS represents such a combination of competence and experience, and we are delighted to have CSAM as a partner in extending SAABs robust control room platform in the healthcare market in the years to come, he says.
